Gotta Love The Fan Mail

Dear Sir,

Please relinquish control of your awesome website to Chicago Bulls fans like myself.  I realize you do not like the Bulls and to be honest, I am not too fond of the LeBron’s either.  But man this thing is bigger than Chicago and Cleveland’s respective NBA franchises.  You and I and every Bulls, Cavs, Wizards, Sixers and Warriors fan know what a curse having Larry Hughes is on your favorite team.  There are fans of 25 other NBA teams that need to not make the same mistake we did.

Think of doing this for the good of mankind.  The economy is slumping, gas prices are high, typhoid fever is making a comeback (ok I made the last one up).  The last thing fans need is Larry Hughes ruining their favorite NBA franchise with his horrible shot selection, disrupting attitude, and ridiculous sense of entitlement.  Fans are drawn to the NBA for entertainment, a way to escape from the stresses in their everyday lives.  Larry Hughes is ANTI-entertainment.  Just last night during a freaking preseason game, I threw my shoe at the TV watching Larry Hughes dribble around the court for 15 seconds before jacking up an airball with a hand in his face.   You remember the first time you picked up a basketball video game and you had no idea how to run plays, so you just gave the ball to your shooter and you ran around the court aimlessly until a defender was far enough away and then you jacked up a shot?  THAT IS LARRY HUGHES!

This needs to be brought to the attention of the world, so that no NBA team will ever decide to give him any money to play basketball ever again.  Please consider my plea for the betterment of mankind.

Respectfully,

Now Larry Hughes is talking to the media about his role with the team. Apparently, he is unhappy playing 15-20 minutes a night. I am unhappy with that number too, he should be playing zero.

    Larry should go to Miami.

As a Sixers fan, I’d have to say he wasn’t a horrid player with us. He actually complemented A.I. well. Good thing he stayed with us for a short time though..before he became what he is now.

I just want to thank you again for making this website. There were days when this site was my only form of entertainment as I sat devouring its contents while putting in my hours at work.
Today for some reason I said to myself, “Self, do you remember that fantastic site which seemed to read your mind and voice your opinion without you having to do anything at all?” And I replied, “Why yes I do; I shall peruse that website for old-times sake.”
And what do you know? I stopped on by to say hello, and there awaiting my arrival was a fresh, recent posting.
Thanks man, I love this site.

    Hope all is well,

    Russ Elek

    I lol’d.

Please keep this site up for us Bulls fans. This really should be brought to the attention to the rest of the nation, and is a much larger issue than just the NBA. This plague must be ended.

    Thanks.

I’m sick, my sentence structure and grammar sucks. Bear with me.

I’ll take Larry and Drew over Ben Wallace 100% of the time. Bulls fans can’t believe we actually got someone to take “Little” Ben and his ridiculous salary. Ben Wallace is a liability. Hope you enjoy that pathetic jump hook, free throws that completely miss the rim, and the fact he cant even rebound anymore. LH will make a nice expiring contract to trade next year and the change of scenery for him has made him a better player, at least one deserving to get some minutes off the bench, which is more than I can say for Wallace.

Like, honestly, he’s awful. He’s been quoted as saying that he doesn’t play to win championships, he plays to have fun. Seriously, this isn’t about the division, the rivalry or even the game. This is about one tremendously awful basketball player…well he could be good, if he tried. But he doesn’t. And he’s content that way, which, i guess, is fine. But we reserve the right to (attempt to) humiliate him in any way that we see fit. I mean, it’s for the good of the team. So please, turn the website over. If it makes you feel better, look at it as a hand-me-down — something you outgrew but didn’t want to throw away, so you gave it to your kid brother.

I’m a forgiving type. The sin can be washed away with a proper transfer of this website to any Chicago Bulls fan.

Please contact Basketbawful with the request to mediate.

Failure to do so is not an option. I’m not restricted by your Gregorian calendar. 2010 could be tomorrow. ;)

I’ll take Ben Wallace and all of his foibles so long as they come with a 17-3 record.

  • 13 LightningMan // Dec 9, 2008 at 3:37 pm

Why Ben Wallace (for Cleveland) is better than Larry Hughes (for Cleveland).

    1) While Ben Wallace scores zero points per game, he also doesn’t shoot the ball from further than twelve inches from the basket unless fouled. This means that he’s likely to rebound his miss and remember pass it to someone who can score. Larry Hughes would shoot from anywhere and the ball as a result would go anywhere. Yes Larry was responsible for 16+ points a game…for both teams. Advantage Wallace.

    2) Ben Wallace was brought here to rebound the ball, block shots, and make people think twice about charging the lane and / or hard fouling LeBron. Since he’s come to Cleveland he’s rebounded the ball, blocked shots, and made people think twice about charging the lane and / or hard fouling LeBron. Larry Wallace was brought here to give LeBron James a reliable second option for scoring after himself. While he threw the ball at the hoop with wild abandon not seen since (Lloyd “All World”) World B. Free, he managed to be a scoring option…for both teams. Advantage Wallace.

Chicago in the MJ days had a rebounding specialist that hardly ever scored any points and they did pretty well with that. Now that LeBron has a few someone else’s who can actually shoot the ball, they can afford a Ben Wallace who cannot shoot, since that isn’t his job.

  • 14 LightningMan // Dec 9, 2008 at 3:38 pm

That should be Larry Hughes, not Larry Wallace. How scary would Larry Wallace be?

  • 15 BULLS FAN SINCE 1988 // Dec 9, 2008 at 5:38 pm

This trade was perfect for both teams.
Just imagine together in the gym B. WALLACE, T. THOMAS AND NOAH. Let’s say, they can’t dunk basketball, thay can only shot, from anywhere they want. I’m sure they would hit the basket only 3 times in one hour.
I’m taking Gooden 100 times over Wallace - for Bulls team…
We don’t have scoring option in Iglauskas and LBJ….
    Period.

They mentioned this site during the Knicks broadcast of the Bulls-Knicks game last night. This is awesome! Sure Larry Hughes hit a lucky three at the end to seal the win, but that only increases the problem. He will continue to take god-awful shot after god-awful shot and complain even more about his minutes. This guy shouldn’t even be playing at all. If he would just stick to driving to the basket and playing defense, he could be useful. Leave the jumpshots with 17 seconds left on the clock to Ben Gordan and Nocioni please!

as a proud bulls fan, i would like to sincerely thank you for all the help you at this site has given my team. i (and many others) believe that the better basketball tape you sent larry for his birthday is the sole reason for his moderate effectiveness off the bench this season. keep up the good work, things wouldnt be the same without you!
