Nov 12, 2007: Cleveland 100 (loss) at Denver 122
1-4 .250 1-3 .333 0-0 .000
Larry gets two quick technical fouls and is ejected! According to ESPN, Larry missed a 3-pointer and then had some sore words for referee Bill Spooner who proceeded to T him up twice and eject him from the game. I wonder what Larry said??? I’m guessing the conversation went something like this:
LH:“Hey Bill, WTF! I got fouled on that play”
Referee: “No, you just suck at shooting 3-pointers. You are shooting 27% from 3-point land this season”
LH: “But I am getting fouled!”
Referee: “Furthermore, it should be noted that you shot only 33% in 2006-2007 on your three pointers on 222 attempts. That’s like almost 3 attempts a game. No wait, you get injured so often, that’s MORE than 3 attempts per game, 3.2 to be exact”
LH: “Hey, I had a rough year last year”
LH:“No excuses. Your career 3-point shooting percentage is 29%. Did you know that Manute Bol had a better 3-point shooting percentage in the 92-93 season than your career averages?”
LH: “Huh?”
Referee: “That’s right. Manute FREAKING Bol. During the 92-93 season, he shot 10-32 on 3-pointers. That’s better than your crap 29% career average. And he was Manute Bol.”
LH: “That’s cold”
Referee: “No, your goddamn jumpshot is cold. Quit taking so many bad shots. They shouldn’t let you shoot another 3-pointer all season. And by the way, you are out of here!”
LH: (continues to glare at referee)
Referee: “Don’t even bother glaring at me, you’ll miss on that too”
LH: (continues to glare)
Referee: (continues to mumble things about Manute Bol)
