LeBron says “Hey guys please stop taking so many bad shots!”

November 9th, 2007 · No Comments

During the recent win over Golden State, Drew Gooden took an ill-advised  23-footer with 14 seconds left on the shot clock (with just over a minute to play). Gooden missed the shot, the Cavs missed an opportunity to kill some clock, and LeBron went off on Drew Gooden during the game.

LeBron was later quoted as saying ‘I’m the leader of this team, and he has to know what is a good shot and what is not a good shot. I got on him about it. It’s nothing personal, I just want him to get better,’‘

Thanks for speaking up, LBJ! Keep reminding the guys to take better shots, so I can quit this blog and work on my next big Internet venture.

Drew, I hope you are listening! To LeBron, not me. (I obviously don’t have any actual basketball advice.) While your 47% field goal percentage is looking solid, these mental mistakes cost us games. I don’t think we’re ready for www.HeyDrewGoodenPleaseStopTakingSoManySTUPIDshots.com, but come on.
